SuppliFlex vs. Cin7: an honest comparison

Cin7 suits manufacturers, retailers and wholesalers that want a broad inventory system with BOMs, MRP on higher plans and a large app ecosystem; Cin7 Omni serves larger enterprises. SuppliFlex fits US DTC and wholesale brands doing $2M–$15M that want two-way, near-real-time sync with QuickBooks Online or Xero kept as the general ledger.

Who is Cin7 right for?

Cin7 calls itself inventory management software for modern sellers: a cloud system that ties suppliers, warehouses and sales channels together. It sells two products. Cin7 Core is "built for growing product businesses" and names manufacturers, retailers, e-commerce sellers and wholesalers as its users. Cin7 Omni is the more customizable product, aimed at companies with complex operations such as multi-entity groups, and its pricing row describes it as a custom solution for larger enterprises.

The coverage is wide. Core lists bill of materials management, material requirements planning from the Pro plan, batch and serial numbers with FIFO and FEFO batch costing, landed cost allocation by cost, quantity, weight or volume, and unlimited inventory locations on every plan. The homepage names industries from food and beverage to furniture and sporting goods and claims more than 700 app partners. If you make part of what you sell, run a retail counter, or want EDI, a B2B portal and forecasting from one vendor, Cin7 covers more ground than SuppliFlex does today.

Cin7 also brings an installed base. Its homepage cites more than 8,500 customers. For a team that wants a vendor with years of deployments behind it, that is a fair reason to pick it.

Where do growing product brands feel friction with Cin7?

Each point below comes from Cin7's own pricing and help pages, not from reviews.

  • Plan caps. Every Core plan caps users, connected integrations and sale orders per year. The entry plan allows 5 users and 2 integrations; the top Core plan allows 15 users and 6 integrations. A brand running Shopify, Amazon, a 3PL and QuickBooks Online is already at four. More capacity can be bought.
  • Features tied to tiers. MRP needs Pro or above. Advanced warehouse management needs the Advanced plan.
  • 3PL connections. In Core, a 3PL other than FBA connects through 3PL Connect, a purchased option that Cin7's team sets up alongside onboarding, or through the API or a CSV shipment export. Cin7 documents a ShipBob app for Omni; we could not find one for Core. The Omni ShipBob link is disconnected by ShipBob every thirty days for security and has to be reconnected.
  • One-way stock to Shopify. Core pushes stock to Shopify whenever it changes, but only in one direction: stock levels are "always pushed from Cin7 Core to Shopify, never from Shopify to Cin7 Core."
  • QuickBooks editions. Core supports QuickBooks Online Plus or Advanced. Simple Start, Essentials and QuickBooks Desktop are not supported.
  • Serial checks. Core's help center states that it does not enforce uniqueness of serial or batch numbers.
  • Onboarding time. The Core onboarding guide lists "purchase an onboarding plan" before the first session. Group onboarding runs 4–6 weeks and 1:1 runs 8–10 weeks, with about 4–6 hours a week from your team.

None of this makes Cin7 a weak product. It means the plan you choose, and the add-ons you buy, decide what you actually get.

How do the pricing models differ?

Cin7 Core is sold in monthly tiers, each with a ceiling on users, integrations and annual sale orders. Around them sits a long list of separately priced add-ons, including ForesightAI forecasting, B2B Portal, POS, RMA, Advanced Production Manufacturing, Flex API, Premium Support and Professional Services. Onboarding plan prices are not published. Omni is priced by quote. For current figures, see Cin7's pricing page.

SuppliFlex has three flat monthly tiers, Starter, Growth and Scale, set by order volume, locations and seats. We charge no usage fees, no per-seat fees for warehouse staff and no mandatory setup fee. Starter already includes the Shopify, Amazon, QuickBooks Online and Xero connectors plus CSV; Growth adds WooCommerce and assisted onboarding; Scale adds 3PL connectors, unlimited users and white-glove onboarding. SuppliFlex prices are published at general availability on 23 November 2026, so there is no number to set against Cin7's yet.

Until then, the honest comparison is about shape. Ask which of your costs rise with headcount, which with order count, which with the number of connected channels, and which arrive later as add-ons. See SuppliFlex pricing for the tier structure.

How does migration from Cin7 to SuppliFlex work?

Evaluate first. The sandbox opens on 30 October 2026: the real product on seeded data, a workspace in under a minute, no card. The consumer electronics seed pack has serials, returns and RMAs and marketplace spikes; the apparel pack has two warehouses, a 3PL and B2B price lists. A simulator sends Shopify, Amazon, QuickBooks and carrier events every few minutes, so you can watch stock move through the ledger.

From the production beta on 13 November 2026, two things change. First, the guided trial lets you connect Shopify, Amazon or QuickBooks read-only and see your own catalog and orders inside SuppliFlex. Second, the migration wizard and CSV import go live for moving products, stock and open records across.

If you want help, the pilot program takes ten US brands doing $2M–$15M on Shopify or Amazon with QuickBooks or Xero. A founder does the migration with you, you run SuppliFlex in parallel with Cin7 on real orders, and we hold a call every two weeks through January.

Verdict: Cin7 or SuppliFlex?

Choose Cin7 if you assemble or manufacture and need BOMs and MRP, if you want POS, EDI or a B2B portal from one vendor, if you have outgrown Core and need Omni's multi-entity setup, or if a long installed base matters more to you than a new architecture.

Choose SuppliFlex if you are a US DTC and wholesale brand between $2M and $15M, you want QuickBooks Online or Xero to stay your general ledger, and you want two-way sync in seconds rather than one-way pushes. SuppliFlex keeps every channel, warehouse, 3PL and FBA in one append-only ledger, and its sync-freshness design target is under 60 seconds at the 95th percentile. Discrepancies and failed syncs land in the exception inbox with the cause and a one-click fix.

Be clear-eyed about one thing: SuppliFlex is new and pre-revenue. General availability is 23 November 2026. Test it in the sandbox against your own Cin7 workflows before you decide, or book a demo and bring your hardest edge case.

Questions

Can I move from Cin7 to SuppliFlex?
Yes, from the production beta on 13 November 2026, using the migration wizard and CSV import. Brands in the pilot program migrate with a founder and run both systems in parallel on real orders before switching.
Is SuppliFlex cheaper than Cin7?
We cannot say yet. SuppliFlex prices are published at general availability on 23 November 2026. What we can compare is structure: Cin7 Core caps users, integrations and sale orders per plan and sells several add-ons, while SuppliFlex uses flat tiers with no usage fees and no per-seat fees for warehouse staff.
Does SuppliFlex replace Cin7's manufacturing features?
No. SuppliFlex handles bundles and kitting, not production planning or MRP. If you manufacture in-house, Cin7 or another MRP-focused system is the better fit.
Can I see my own orders in SuppliFlex before leaving Cin7?
Yes, from 13 November 2026. The guided trial connects Shopify, Amazon or QuickBooks read-only, so you can see your own catalog and orders in SuppliFlex without changing anything in Cin7.
