What oversells cost you. Per year.
Enter four numbers from your own operation and this SuppliFlex calculator estimates the annual cost of oversells, manual reconciliation, premium freight and the buffer stock you hold back to avoid them. It is an estimate: replace the example assumptions with your own and share the result with a link.
| Oversells8 a month × 12 × $40 | $3,840 |
|---|---|
| Manual reconciliation2 h a day × 250 working days × $35 | $17,500 |
| Premium freightas entered | $6,000 |
| Buffer stock held back10% of $250,000 × 25% carrying cost | $6,250 |
An estimate from the numbers above, not a quote or a guarantee. It leaves out lost future orders and marketplace account health, which are real but hard to price.
How is the estimate calculated?
- Oversells: events per month × 12 × the cost of handling one event.
- Manual reconciliation: hours per day × 250 working days × the loaded hourly cost.
- Premium freight: the annual amount you enter.
- Buffer stock: the share of inventory held back × average inventory value × the annual carrying cost rate. Stock you hide from channels still costs money to hold.
What reduces each line?
Oversells and buffers both come from counts that disagree between systems. SuppliFlex keeps one ledger and syncs every connected channel within seconds, with a sync-freshness design target under 60 seconds at the 95th percentile, so less stock needs to be held back. See real-time inventory sync and the exception inbox, or read how a system of record changes reconciliation.
